Footprints of Fire

Ritual.  Something I am totally keen about is ritual, no matter whoever or wherever if it is a tradition it is for me.  What is normal for branson is Taboo to you and that is awesome.  so fire walking isn’t for the faint of heart, but when I had the opportunity or the privilege and the blessing from the local monks I had my laces untied and the camera off.

In Northeast Japan you are not going to see the automated robots, or the busy streets, crowded subway lines or the “Gyura” girls.  What you will see it thatched roofs, rice patties, cherry blossoms and SNOW!  But if you stick around for a while you will see some traditions that have origins when samurai still had their swords.
