Mid-Autumn Festivaln 中秋节

Does it look like a moon cake 月饼? If it does you should check if your ancestry can trace itself back to the middle kingdom of China. Mid-Autumn Festival is the fall harvest festival of China and is celebrated each year in the fall according to the lunar calendar. And when the calendar says full moon it is time to celebrate. Preparations began during the planting seasons and culminate with moon cakes being sent to workmates and family members. These days it is big business and packaging gives face and helps grease the wheels for your next business deal. This moon festival I was in Seattle and if you look close you can see a salmon jumping over the moon!
