Little Norway in Seattle

Few bad trips begin with a boat ride. And a ferries ride from Seattle there are many great places to visit. Poulsbo is just a 15 minute drive off Bainbridge Island, across the Agate bridge and into Viking country. “Velkommen til” and Norwegian flags fly in the little downtown. A pamphlet on the boat read “Poulsbo, home of the most friendly people in Washington,” and while other NW pacific shore towns might argue Poulsbo would be hard to beat. A “Viking” doughnut or a “Viking” cinnamon bun from the bakery will leave you licking your whiskers for traces of icing.
